Integrated approaches to miRNAs target definition: time-series analysis in an osteosarcoma differentiative model.
Specimen part, Cell line, Time
View SamplesWe explored the transcriptional modification induced by CD99 transfection in the osteosarcoma cell lines SaOS-2 after 0, 7 and 14 days in differentiation medium.

View SamplesThis study was undertaken in order to characterize the functions of Rex-1 and identify potential Rex-1 target genes. Both alleles of the Rex-1 gene were disrupted in J1 mouse embryonic stem cells. Gene expression levels in one of the resulting Rex-1 knockout cell lines was compared to that of J1 wild type cells.
Analysis of Rex1 (zfp42) function in embryonic stem cell differentiation.

High Expression of Complement Component 5 (C5) at Tumor Site Associates with Superior Survival in Ewing's Sarcoma Family of Tumour Patients.
Sex, Age, Specimen part, Disease, Cell line
View SamplesPurpose: Unlike in most adult-onset cancers, an association between typical paediatric neoplasms and inflammatory triggers is rare. We studied whether immune system related genes are activated and have prognostic significance in Ewing sarcoma family of tumours (ESFT). Experimental design: Data-analysis was performed on gene expression profiles of 44 ESFT patient, 11 ESFT cell line, and 18 normal muscle tissue samples. 238 inflammation related genes were selected based on literature and a macrophage gene expression signature was derived from SymAtlas. Differential expression of the genes was analysed by t-test and survival analysis was performed according to gene expression.

View SamplesThe improvement of Ewing's sarcoma (EWS) therapy is currently linked to find strategies to select patients with poor and good prognosis at diagnosis and to generate modified treatment regimens. In this study, we analyze the molecular factors governing EWS response to chemotherapy in order to identify genetic signatures that may be used for risk-adapted therapy.
Overcoming resistance to conventional drugs in Ewing sarcoma and identification of molecular predictors of outcome.

View SamplesEwing's Sarcoma cell lines were made resistant to different IGF-1R drugs to investigate mechanisms and pathways modulated by the resistance.

1q gain and CDT2 overexpression underlie an aggressive and highly proliferative form of Ewing sarcoma.
Sex, Age, Specimen part, Disease, Cell line
View SamplesThe 1q gain is related to poor survival, and to a profile of cell cycle deregulation in Ewing's Sarcoma (ES). Tumor samples with 1q gain overexpress the gene DTL.
